I love my Kobe! And the Lakers aren't bad either...

Looking to impress your date with a couple of impossible to find Laker tickets? How about any tickets for that matter? I got just the thing. Let me introduce you to Stubdog.com. Think of Stubdog like E-Bay and instead of "All things Attic", Stubdog is for "All things Tickets". A nirvana for sports fans, concert fans and anything else entertainment. StubHub is 'Where Fans Buy and Sell Tickets'. Need a ticket or have ticket to sell, StubHub is the middleman, ensuring a safe and trusted exchange. Protecting both seller and buyer, StubHub offers their 'FanProtect Guarantee'. Buyers can be assured of authentic and valid tickets, receiving their tickets in time for the event and receiving tickets comparable to or better than the tickets you ordered, or your money back. Sellers know they will never be contacted directly by a buyer or prospective buyers. They can adjust their ticket prices to reflect marketplace value at any time and will recieve payment from StubHub for all ticket orders confirmed and fullfilled. So for those of you like me who just has to have her Kobe and Laker fix, StubHub.com offers the perfect solution. Discount tickets, professional service and that Kobe smile... how can you say no?

How about a lil 'Cookin With Gas'?

Looking for a bit of a laugh? Add a little gas to your giggle tank and stop by the Groundlings Theatre on Melrose for their 'Cooking With Gas' Improv Show. Since 1992, the Groundlings Main Company, Alumni and Sunday Companies have played together every Thursday night in the all-improv explosion that has become almost as much of an institution as the Groundling Theatre itself.

Based entirely on audience suggestions, watch as these up and coming, comedic geniuses make you feel like you're the comedy writer. Always fresh, always funny and always a great way to maybe catch a star or two as each week the Groundlings Theatre invite one star to join in. Past guests have included Mike Myers, Quentin Tarantino and D'Angelo, to name a few.

Thursday Nights @ 8:00 p.m.

Tickets are normally $16.50 and can be purchased online at http://www.groundlings.com/

Quite often you can get tickets for half-priced at http://www.stubdog.com/ . It's worth having a look at. :)

Watch out Seattle...Here we come!

I am super excited to tell you all, we are expanding! Our first major expansion is to the wonderfully romantic...Seattle, Washington. SpeedSeattle Dating is set to debut March 1st 2009. It is so very imporant to me that we don't just expand to other cities, but become part of the cities we expand to. That means SpeedSeattle will have their own charming British hosts, same top venues, loads of cheeky fun and even their own 'All Things Dating in Seattle' blog, written by our SpeedSeattle Resident Bloggers. In the coming months, I will be dividing my time between Los Angeles and Seattle, attending as many events as possible, so I will be more than available for any questions, comments or LA Dating tips you might have.
A very special cheers to LA for allowing me the opportunity to spread some UK fun.

Our Seattle website will be: http://www.speedseattledating.com/

Best,

A Lovely Guide for the LA Dater in you...

Hot off the press is the 2009 Zagat Los Angeles Dating (and Dumping) Guide. A pocket size guide with loads of goodies for the LA Dater. With chapters ranging from Where to Date, Where to Break Up, Nightlife, Sweet and Not So Sweet Stories of love or that never ending quest to find love. With Zagat you can expect the most up to date reviews on the latest, hottest spots and with this guide you can have a laugh and gain some good tips while you are at. A couple of excerpts I quite enjoyed are in the 'Jesus Get Me Out of Here' Stories;

"In the middle of an intimate moment, my so-called boyfriend said 'I don't think I can do this anymore because I'm engaged.' "

"He told me that his fetish was amputees and if something were to happen to me I would be right up there at the top of his list."

"I thought he was going to take me out for dinner, but he explained that he doesn't like to eat and only eats to survive, so we weren't going out to eat."

"We were fooling around. I went to use his bathroom, and when I came back he was at his computer checking out online dates."

You can find the Zagat Los Angeles Dating Guide at most book stores or at

Bloody Football?!?!

It's Super Bowl Sunday and what does that mean for the Brit in me? Absolutely nothing. Football for us across the pond has to do with a sport that is actually played off the foot. Nevertheless, I am desperately trying to sort out all the rules for today's big game and have started my learning process with all things Super Bowl. With towers of chips before me, Guacamole glistening, and a NewCastle Brown Ale (Sorry, American beer fans, you can take the Brit out of the UK, but you can't take the UK out of the Brit), I think I'm starting to like this football thing.

For today only, log on to http://www.speedladating.com/ and enter SUPERBOWL at checkout for $5 off your next SpeedLA Ticket.

Enjoy the game!!!
